The macro settings are amazing, and the picture clarity is great!!
I have an Olympus 1000 and really like the macro on it. My son has a Kodak that's a couple levels up (but not an SLR) from my Olympus. The macro on it really stinks compared to mine. However, his zoom is much better than mine.
